Windows 7 Sux!!!

Okay, it's been about 4 weeks since I had a Malware attack on my main Windows XP box. I got a new PC and it came with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Now you'd think that I'd be fine right? WRONG!!! I've have nothing but program conflicts ever since. Windows 7 Home Premium does not like alot of older software that I use and have been using or years. some programs work, some don't.

I use alot of audio software and I'm not trying to re-buy the newer version of each program.

Also, It did not like my old printer.

Instead of being back up and running, I have had to spend alot of time creating work arounds for the older software or just doing without for now.

So, I'm thinking of wiping Windows 7 Home Premium off and loading XP on this box instead.

Note: Windows 7 Home Premium is the lowest version of 7 and it does not have the XP MODE built in. XP Mode will allow you to run older software on the PC. The bottom line is to buy an upgrade called Windows Anytime Upgrade and that is $79.95.

So, Bill Gates found another way to suck money out of folks like me who do not like to upgrade software that works just fine!!!!!

SHYT!

PS: If you have XP, do not upgrade to Vista or Windows 7 Home Premium.

I went through this when I had to upgrade to Vista.

It would not work with my old printer or scanner. I had to upgrade both.

If I were you I'd wipe it clean and put your XP back on. I would have done that if I'd known how. lol

I hear you. I guess new windows products always have issues like in the commercial. I hate Vista. I got XP on my newest computer as a downgrade from Vista.

Thanks Scoops, I just did a dual boot on my DJ Laptop. So now I'm running both:

Win 7
Win XP Pro

Funny thang is that I have 4GB of ram on the laptop and under Win7 my cpu usage says between 80%-99%. This causes the music that is playing to skip when I search for titles.

I looked up this issue and folks are saying that it's due to Windows Media Player 11. I tried to uninstall it and the system will not allow me to do so.

When I run the laptop using XP Pro, the cpu usage is normal, never topping 80%.

Once again......Gates needs his ass beat!
